About Us.
The Abbe Cabin is managed by four sister-owners: Sally, Martha, Jenny, and Jessica.
Our great-grandparents camped near Tahoe City starting in the early 1900s, and our grandparents continued the tradition, camping at Bliss State Park each summer. Our parents, Richard and Pauline, purchased this lakeside retreat in 1974, continuing a treasured tradition of summer gatherings on the shores of Lake Tahoe. Once the original small cabin was winterized thanks to the carpentry skills of Sally and her husband Steve, we have enjoyed Tahoe year-round.
The Abbe Cabin is our family’s meeting ground. Over the years, we have had many reunions and holiday celebrations overlooking the lake.
